Position: Landscape Maintenance Manager/Contractor.
A Maintenance manager is needed for our garden care department. This person will be expected to plan, organize, direct and control the operations of the garden care department. Time management skills are essential as the employee will have to effectively balance site and office work. Have a working knowledge of all aspects of soft landscaping. The individual needs to be able to manage new and existing customers, have excellent client service skills. Be able to price and negotiate new and existing contracts. In addition to tendering bids, they must plan and estimate material and labour requirements on a per contract basis. Organize and direct the planting and maintenance of trees, gardens, lawns, shrubs and the construction and installation of fences, decks, patios, walkways and retaining walls. Have an ability to work well on their own or with others and if required, be able to hire and supervise staff. Maintain financial and personal records is also required.
Those applicants with experience will be favoured.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years work experience will be required. Horticultural diploma/certification or specialized course is preferred.
Job Duties:
Salary: Starting @ $19.13/hour, 40hrs/week (weather dependant)Various soft landscaping applications (planting and garden maintenance). Crew management and supervision.
Office management applications. Customer/Client interaction and negotiation. Pricing, invoicing and billing. Work well with others and alone.

Read blueprints and be able to construct and maintain gardens/environment, which may include trees, shrubberies, lawns, fences, decks, patios, and other landscape structures. Has a strong grasp of wood work, stone work, demolition, and movement of materials around the job site. Construction of small landscape features to be required fall/winter months.Salary: Starting @ $19.07, 40hrs/week (weather dependant).

Salary: Starting @ $15.97/hr, 40hrs/week (weather dependant).Prospective employees need only have a good attitude and enjoy working outdoors. Duties include spreading topsoil, laying sod, plant flowers, shrubs, trees, and assist with the construction of a landscape and related structures. No experience necessary, although preference will be given to applicants who have trade skills. Individual must have reliable transportation, and will need to provide a drivers abstract (applicable only if using company vehicles). Winter duties will include snow removal and de-icing of walkways.
